And no, I don’t mean review the past year in order to improve yourself and work on your new goals this year (though those are, of course, important.).
I mean to set aside time to BACK UP all the files in your computer. You don’t have to do it today like me – it’s my business to do that to keep my clients data safe, as well as my own computer with their important files and information. But it is one of those goals that needs to be done as soon as possible, especially if you haven’t done it in a while. Even in this advanced day and age of drones and high definition images of the planets in our solar system, personal computers still have hard drives with a finite lifespan and they fail.
If all of your data is backed up to a cloud, this does not absolve you from checking on it to make sure it’s still there. In my experience, it is not unknown for large companies such as Google to corrupt someone’s drive or backups and lose the data forever. Don’t get caught without when you have a drive failure in your home or office (or home office). Make sure that your backups are still out there and safe.
